1989 Obituary Naomi V Patrie; Text
Naomi V. Patrie MALONE — Naomi V. Patrie, a resident of the Franklin County Nursing Home in Malone, NY died Thursday, December 24, 1998, at the nursing home. She had been a resident there since December 29, 1987. Born in Chasm Falls, NY. June 9, 1909, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Brean King. She attended local schools. In 1926, she was united in marriage to Horace Bashaw. He predeceased her in 1951. In 1957, she was united in marriage to Walter Patrie in Champlain, NY. He predeceased her in 1983. Mrs. Patrie was a homemaker. She was also a housekeeper for Rev. Legault at St. -Joseph's Church in West Chazy, NY. for several years. She was a member of the Malone Adult Center. She enjoyed writing poetry, bingo and fishing. Survivors include: three stepsons Clarence Patrie of Champlain, Walton Patrie, Jr. of Oscoda, ML, and Richard Patrie of Spring Hills, FL„ eight step-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. • Besides her parents and her two husbands, she was predeceased by five brothers, Edgar, Fred, Charles, George and Amos King and four sisters, Miss Alma King, Mrs. Florence Carlina, Mrs. Rose McNeil and Mrs. Edith Owens. Calling hours will be Monday ftpm 9 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. at the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday ai 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Church in Malone, with Msgr. Dennis Duprey officiating. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to either the Malone Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department or to the Champlain Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department Plattsburgh Press-Republican December 26, 1998; [Source Record]
